These photographs were shot August 28, 2006 during BAZ 2006. BAZ stands for Boulderen aan Zee (Bouldering by the Sea). BAZ is a (hopefully) yearly happening. This was the first time it was held.

Now bouldering is a sport requiring power, strength, agility, balance and concentration. The facial expressions in many of these photographs bear this out. The subjects don't ususally look this way when you meet them in the street! :-)
