Right after the Dolomites I left for Gran Paradiso. I wanted to get some experience with crampons and ice axe. This trip gave me that opportunity, with the ascent of an (easy) 4000-er thrown in.

Gran Paradiso is a National Parc in Italy, near the Valle d'Aosta. It offers plenty of beautiful walks and rifugios abound.
