I’ve always loved travelling. Leaving the familiar surrounds and going to other places, to see how they look: nature, buildings, towns and cities. And also seeing how people live there, how their societies function, how people have adapted to their natural surroundings. I am fascinated by historical developments, to see how the past is still visible in the present: in the layout of towns, the naming of roads, the ancient roads that still link present-day communities.
